MTRCS' home field is Cane Ridge Park, located south of Nashville but the club also enjoys sponsoring "Float Fly" events for those who like to fly their planes off of the water.
Cane Ridge Park GPS Location N 35.59.568' W. 086.37.169' Most every day of the year, you'll find one of the MTRCS flying at Cane Ridge. Our members fly year round. Our main flying site at Cane Ridge Park has a nice 100' x 400' paved runway and freshly moved grass thanks to Metro Parks. We have a nice parking area and spectator area. Our members have worked to construct large covered pit areas, a wonderful storage shed and concession building.We have a nice set of bleachers for spectators. There are facilities for picnics and there are plenty of accomidations at the park for the whole family. We also welcome fellow pilots to join us for a day of flying. Water Flyers Pools Knob GPS Location. N 36.02.718, W 086.30.826 Many of our members enjoy the true beauty of flying off the water. The club usually meets two or more times each year during our scheduled Float Flys to enjoys water flying. We reserve a secluded place off Percy Priest Lake that provides a perfect place to enjoy a unique day of flying.
